FORTY : Inspired by my fortieth year and my first true step into being an artist, this piece—and the entire collection—pays homage to the continuous journey of being found, over and over again. It celebrates the transformation into becoming something new, the courage to put yourself on display, and the willingness to be witnessed. This is ocean whimsy in full bloom—a vibrant expression of renewal and self-proclamation.
Materials: drift wood, torched steel chain, steel flowers, hand foraged abalone, muscle shell, and coral, stone, sliced steel pipe, oxidized copper tubing, and steel gage wire.
