It's hard to put into words everything Weekends was to me, as I'm still digesting this reformative experience. Despite having a history working with Elyse in therapy, I still had anxiety leading up to Weekends because I didn't know what to expect, how guarded I would be, how much I would want to unveil. But as she does so beautifully in therapy, she was there to guide me, safely, through the entire experience. The other women in attendance enabled a space of understanding, comfort, and unconditional love. I heard my own experiences through the lens' of their lives, and that was instrumental in making me feel less alone. There's a certain power in group work, and with Elyse at the helm she guided us as we exposed our vulnerabilities, mourned their damages, and ultimately transformed them into productive and healing perspectives.
Weekends was an experience of utter beauty from arrival to departure. Elyse was attentive to every detail, and it was apparent she had a blast preparing to welcome us into the sacred space of Weekends. The beauty was in the visuals she created, the music she played in the background, the fragrance that diffused, the pre-planned meals, and of course the gorgeous home overlooking the ocean. Each activity was so thoughtfully planned, and the evolution of working through issues during the three days couldn’t have been better. The experience was playful, soulful, decadent, transformative, and most importantly safe. Elyse has got your back, and very quickly, so does each member of the group. There is a magic that happens when a group of women assemble with the intention of becoming their best selves; the whole is truly greater than the sum of its parts. Elyse was able to guide us through the weekend experience so masterfully, that we each left on Sunday, “unlocked” in our own unique way.
Where do I even begin to put words into what an experience like weekends is? Elyse silently and gracefully invites you into a space, a place, of higher existence. Before I even walked into the door I was moved. Throughout the weekend you have a sense that this entire weekend was meticulously thought out with you in mind for your growth coming from a place of love and grace. She created a time and place for me to really dive into me. She takes ideas and strategies from her profession and implements them into the weekend. She uses every one of your senses to ignite an inspiration for more. It’s honestly hard to put word to this magical and beautiful time. If you are reading this, Weekends is probably for you and I would encourage you to listen to that little voice that says “go!”
I am rarely short on words, but they escape me when I try to explain the magic that is a weekend experience with Elyse. Her curriculum was thoughtful and intentional, the attention to detail was so impressive - from the notecards and meditations, the pace of the program and the delightful meals. I went in not exactly knowing what to expect, but I feel lighter - a sense of feeling understood and motivated to get out of my own way. You will get what you put into this experience, but if you show up, ready to be open and listen and learn and share, I can't imagine you would come out the other side the same person. I connected with some remarkable women, and came away with some wise teaching and practical steps for leading a richer life for myself, my family and professionally speaking. I don't throw this out loosely, but, you need to do this!!! This woman is building the thing we are all craving, and you may not even know it - DO IT!
What a valuable time. I didn’t know what to expect going into weekends, so coming out of it I was truly blown away by what I experienced. The thoughtfulness put into the vision, the process, and the details made it clear that each of us were more than welcome, we were celebrated. In result of the truly safe space that was created each of us were able to dig in, go deep, and understand more of who we are as people. Words were put to things that prior seemed foggy, and Elyse beautifully helped us gain understanding and insight into our past, present, and future. I know that each of us left that weekend not only encouraged, but equipped with knowledge and next steps to help us live more full and vibrant lives.
