Episode 085: Reflections + Transitions
Sometimes we hear something, and then we need to come back to it before it hits us and we understand what it means.
If you’ve been following along the past few weeks, you know I have been interviewing some fantastic people. Today all I want to do is simply sit and bask in the beauty that was in my conversations with Hillary McBride and Erin Baute. To bask in the joy that came from doing the Radical Wellness Mind + Body event with my dear friend Aurora. To sit in excitement to get to do more of these things. And also to feel the real and deep heartache of transition.
My hope for you my friend is that listening to these super weird, out there, personal conversations stirs something up in you, causes you to be open to change, to think of things from a new perspective.
Why do kids play? Not because they are told to, but because they can’t not. When thinking about learning and growth, I want that to be my understanding. I can’t not wonder. I can’t not evolve. I must move forward.
I am coming into a massive season of transition. For the time being, I am transitioning out of my official one on one therapy work and moving into a new role within the genuinely capable and astonishingly talented team I have gathered together. I am doing what I feel I am great at, which is meeting with clients for their very first session and gathering all the stuff in order to come up with a concrete and do-able plan for them so that they can flourish and succeed in whatever they are meant to.
This change has brought up emotions all over the place. It is not something I initially would allow myself to do. I tend to sit in a space of individual responsibility. I forget that I simply just can’t do it all. I want big radical things and I want people to have access to quality care. So it is time for me to provide that, within the lens of my team at Radical Wellness Collaborative.
Today I give myself and I give you the permission to evolve.
What do you need to make room for?
Does anything need to change, shift, or evolve?
